In the 2023–24 season, he joined Villarreal CF’s first team as a physiotherapist. Beginning with the 2024–25 season, he became Coordinator of the Physiotherapy Department for the club’s first team — a role he continues to hold today.

He has a Master of Science (MSc) in Training of elite athletes of team sports (National Institute of Phyical Education, University of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain) finished In 2008, and another Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical Biomechanics of the Musculoskeletal System (Rovira i Virgili University, Reus, Spain). Between 2003 and 2008 he developed his Degree of Philosophal Doctor (PhD), Department of Medicine, University of Barcelona Medical School, Barcelon, Spain.
Eduard has received numerous honors and awards throughout his career. In terms of his scientific output, he has published more than 150 articles in scientific journals.
Dr. Eduard Alentorn-Geli worked in the United States after obtaining his medical license, completing two postgraduate fellowships at Duke University in sports medicine and at the Mayo Clinic in shoulder and elbow reconstruction. He then returned to Barcelona, Spain, where he practices as an orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic knee, shoulder, and elbow surgery.
His extensive international experience and dual training in medicine and sports science give him a unique advantage in his professional practice.

He leads the #PsychMapping community and the M3PAT application, has served as principal investigator on #HealthBehaviourMapping, and sits on editorial boards including the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology and the International Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology.
In the professional field, he has worked for more than 20 years across tennis, basketball, football, and motorsport. Dr. Adam Kiefer is a recognized leader in the application of immersive and digital technologies to enhance athlete performance and health outcomes. He serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at UNC Chapel Hill, where he is also a core faculty member of the Matthew Gfeller Center for NeuroHealth and an affiliate of the Sports Medicine Institute.
Dr. Kiefer co-directs the Simulation, Training, Analytics & Rehabilitation (STAR) Heel Performance Laboratory, a translational research group focused on leveraging immersive technologies, artificial intelligence, and behavioral science to address critical challenges in sport injury prevention and rehabilitation.
With over two decades of experience, Dr. Kiefer’s work bridges fundamental science and applied sport technology. In the professional field, he is the Founder and CEO of reQ High Performance, a sports performance, rehabilitation, traumatology, and physiotherapy center based in Girona and Sant Cugat del Vallès (Catalonia), where both professional footballers and academy players train. He is currently the CEO and Co-founder of Kognia Sports Intelligence (since 2019), a Barcelona-based company pioneering AI-driven tactical analysis in football.
Before founding Kognia, he served as Head of Research in the Team Sports Department at Futbol Club Barcelona (2016–2019), where he contributed to the integration of scientific methodology into training and performance analysis, particularly within the Barça Innovation Hub. Professor of Psychological Sciences at the University of Connecticut (UConn) and Director of the Center for the Ecological Study of Perception and Action. Dr. Dixon earned his Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and holds a B.A. in Psychology from the State University of New York at Albany. Since 1999, he has held academic positions at Trinity University, the College of William & Mary, and UConn, where he has served as Associate Professor (2005–2014), Professor (since 2014), and held leadership roles as Head of the Developmental and Perception-Action-Cognition areas within the Department of Psychological Sciences. He has directed the Center for the Ecological Study of Perception and Action since 2014.
Dr. Dixon’s research explores ecological and thermodynamic foundations of cognition, perception, and behavior, with a particular focus on self-organization, embodied dynamics, and coordination in complex systems. His interdisciplinary approach combines developmental psychology, physics, and systems theory.

Through Ipsum Sport Services, the project he founded in 2017, he has supported internationally renowned footballers as well as athletes from other elite contexts, such as WTA tennis players Paula Badosa and Carla Suárez, and MotoGP rider Remy Gardner. In the 2021–2022 season, he became part of the coaching staff of Girona B (U23), where he has worked for four consecutive seasons, contributing to the team’s promotion to Segunda RFEF in 2025. In the academic field, Dr. Gonzalo-Skok has collaborated with several universities in departments of Sport Sciences. He is currently Associate Professor at Universidad Loyola Andalucía (since the 2022–2023 academic year). Previously, he was a faculty member at Universidad San Jorge in Zaragoza (2013–2019). He is the author of numerous scientific articles (85 JCR), with research particularly focused on the effects of inertial training systems for strength development, functional asymmetries, and the influence of biological age on performance.
In the professional field, he has worked as a coach for more than 18 years, primarily with basketball players and footballers, and served as strength and rehabilitation specialist at Sevilla F.C., winning the Europa League in the 2019/2020 season and contributing to the team achieving the lowest injury incidence in Europe (15 injuries). Previously, he was responsible for the youth academy of CAI Zaragoza and the Spanish national basketball team.
Jordi Reig Mira is a physiotherapist specialized in sports rehabilitation, with more than 25 years of clinical experience. He is Director of Fisioterapia Fisiojreig, a leading multidisciplinary clinic in rehabilitation, injury prevention, and performance optimization.
He has established himself as an expert in advanced and invasive techniques: a pioneer in Spain in Trigger Point Therapy and Dry Needling (since 1998), specialist in Ultrasound-Guided Percutaneous Musculoskeletal Electrolysis, and extensively trained in Musculoskeletal Neuromodulation. He also has 17 years of experience in musculoskeletal ultrasound, with advanced training at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, and holds a Master’s degree in Manual Therapy.
He combines his clinical practice with academic and professional teaching, lecturing in the Master’s program in Sports Physiotherapy at Universidad C.E.U. Valencia and in specialized training programs in neuromodulation, ultrasound, and invasive techniques.
His professional background in sport includes serving as physiotherapist for Club Deportivo Alcoyano and Hércules CF, as well as collaborating with players from LaLiga, the Spanish Second Division, and Primera RFEF. Adrián Escriche holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Valencia and a PhD in Health Sciences from the University of Málaga. After working with several universities, he is currently a faculty member and researcher in the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Valencia.
He is the author of more than 35 scientific articles, with research particularly focused on the effects of exercise in different clinical populations. One of his main research lines addresses the application of load, exercise, and education in tendinopathy.
In the professional field, as a physiotherapist, he has worked with various athletes and clubs, notably in football and padel, including his experience with the youth academy of Valencia C.F.

In the professional field, he has been involved in professional basketball and football for the past 15 years. He currently works in the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and monitoring of professional football players from the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, and League 1, as well as providing consultancy services to professional football clubs. Previously, Isaac worked as a physiotherapist on the staff of Zenit Saint Petersburg between 2016 and 2019, participating in both the Europa League and the Champions League. Graduate in Journalism from the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia. He began his career in football as a tactical analyst during the 2020–2021 season, joining Girona FC as analyst for the U18 team (Juvenil B) while also preparing individual reports for the Academy Scouting Department.
Since then, he has progressed steadily within the club. In the 2021–2022 season, he became part of the coaching staff of Girona B (U23), where he has worked for four consecutive seasons, contributing to the team’s promotion to Segunda RFEF in 2025. In parallel, he has held different positions of responsibility within the club’s analysis department, first as coordinator of individual reports for the Academy Scouting Department, and later as Head of Analysis for Girona FC’s youth academy.
He is currently Head of Analysis for Girona B, combining responsibilities in own-team and opposition analysis, individual player development, and the preparation and supervision of individual reports for the club’s Sporting Directorate.
He is the author of the book “Nagelsmann táctico, el camaleón estratega” (Editorial LibroFútbol, 2021), a detailed visual analysis of the German coach’s game model.
In terms of specialized training, he has completed the “Scouting and Analysis Specialist” program and the “Individual Fundamentals by Position Specialist” course at MBP School, as well as the “Talent Recruitment Technician” course at FutbolLab.
PhD in Sports Sciences from the University of Zaragoza (Spain). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Sciences from the University of Lleida. In the academic field, Dr. Gonzalo-Skok has collaborated with several universities in departments of Sport Sciences. He is currently Associate Professor at Universidad Loyola Andalucía (since the 2022–2023 academic year). Previously, he was a faculty member at Universidad San Jorge in Zaragoza (2013–2019). He is the author of numerous scientific articles (85 JCR), with research particularly focused on the effects of inertial training systems for strength development, functional asymmetries, and the influence of biological age on performance.
In the professional field, he has worked as a coach for more than 18 years, primarily with basketball players and footballers, and served as strength and rehabilitation specialist at Sevilla F.C., winning the Europa League in the 2019/2020 season and contributing to the team achieving the lowest injury incidence in Europe (15 injuries). Previously, he was responsible for the youth academy of CAI Zaragoza and the Spanish national basketball team.
Jordi Reig Mira is a physiotherapist specialized in sports rehabilitation, with more than 25 years of clinical experience. He is Director of Fisioterapia Fisiojreig, a leading multidisciplinary clinic in rehabilitation, injury prevention, and performance optimization.
He has established himself as an expert in advanced and invasive techniques: a pioneer in Spain in Trigger Point Therapy and Dry Needling (since 1998), specialist in Ultrasound-Guided Percutaneous Musculoskeletal Electrolysis, and extensively trained in Musculoskeletal Neuromodulation. He also has 17 years of experience in musculoskeletal ultrasound, with advanced training at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, and holds a Master’s degree in Manual Therapy.
He combines his clinical practice with academic and professional teaching, lecturing in the Master’s program in Sports Physiotherapy at Universidad C.E.U. Valencia and in specialized training programs in neuromodulation, ultrasound, and invasive techniques.
His professional background in sport includes serving as physiotherapist for Club Deportivo Alcoyano and Hércules CF, as well as collaborating with players from LaLiga, the Spanish Second Division, and Primera RFEF. He has also worked with elite international athletes, including MotoGP riders (Fabio Quartararo, Héctor Barberá, Nicolás Terol, among others), professional cyclists (Rubén Plaza, Rafa Valls), and Olympic gymnasts (Néstor Abad, Laura Casabuena).
In addition, he collaborated for eight years as an external physiotherapist for the Ethiopian Athletics Federation, providing treatment to world-class athletes such as Meseret Defar, Kalkidan Gezahenge, and Markos Geneti.
Adrián Escriche holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Valencia and a PhD in Health Sciences from the University of Málaga. After working with several universities, he is currently a faculty member and researcher in the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Valencia.
He is the author of more than 35 scientific articles, with research particularly focused on the effects of exercise in different clinical populations. One of his main research lines addresses the application of load, exercise, and education in tendinopathy.
In the professional field, as a physiotherapist, he has worked with various athletes and clubs, notably in football and padel, including his experience with the youth academy of Valencia C.F.
Diploma in Physiotherapy from EUIF Blanquerna, Universitat Ramon Llull. He holds an official Master’s degree in Primary Care Research from the Miguel Hernández University of Elche and an official Master’s degree in Ergonomics within Occupational Risk Prevention from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). He also completed postgraduate studies in Sports Rehabilitation (University of Barcelona and Fundació Universitària del Bages) and in Manual Therapy (EFOM, Paris, and EUIF Blanquerna).
In the academic field, Isaac has served as a university professor for more than 15 years at the University of Central Catalonia, Manresa Campus, and at the University of Lleida, with both teaching and coordinating responsibilities. He was Director of the Master’s program in Assessment and Treatment of the Musculoskeletal System at the University of Central Catalonia, Manresa Campus, and has taught in several national and international master’s programs related to sport.
In the professional field, he has been involved in professional basketball and football for the past 15 years. He currently works in the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and monitoring of professional football players from the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, and League 1, as well as providing consultancy services to professional football clubs. Previously, Isaac worked as a physiotherapist on the staff of Zenit Saint Petersburg between 2016 and 2019, participating in both the Europa League and the Champions League. From 2022 to 2024, he was part of the medical staff as a physiotherapist for the first team of FC Barcelona.
PhD in Biomedical Research Methodology and Public Health from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Universitat Ramon Llull and a degree in Osteopathy from the Escola d’Osteopatia de Barcelona – European School of Osteopathy.

He is currently a faculty member in the Bachelor’s program in Physiotherapy at Universitat Ramon Llull, where he teaches Manual Therapy and Research Methodology. In addition, he delivers annual sessions on research methods in various master’s programs.
He is a postdoctoral researcher at the Iberoamerican Cochrane Center (CCib), integrated within the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Public Health at Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona and the Institut de Recerca Sant Pau. He is the author of numerous scientific articles, with research particularly focused on research methodology and the evaluation of the effectiveness of manual therapy.

In the academic field, Dr. Altarriba-Bartés is Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Activity Sciences at UVic-UCC and a research member of the Sport, Exercise and Human Movement (SEaHM) group at the same institution. His expertise includes training methodology (UEFA Pro Licence Coach), strength and conditioning (PES Certification), and injury prevention and rehabilitation (INEFC–University of Barcelona and Fundació Universitària del Bages). He is the author of several scientific articles addressing elite sports performance, post-exercise recovery, epidemiology, and injury prevention.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences from INEFC (University of Barcelona), a Diploma in Physiotherapy from URL, and a Master’s degree in High-Performance Sport from the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
In the academic field, she has collaborated with several universities in departments of Physiotherapy and Sport Sciences. She is currently Associate Professor in the Bachelor’s program in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, leads the research line on “Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation” within the consolidated research group SAFE (SGR 00543), and coordinates elite athletes at the Faculty of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences of URL (Universitat Ramon Llull). She previously served as Coordinator of the Master’s program in Readaptation to Physical Activity and Sport at the University of Girona (2013–2016) and as Director of the Master’s program in Physiotherapy for Team Sports at the Faculty of Health Sciences (Blanquerna, URL) (2018–2022). Her research focuses on neuromuscular assessment and training aimed at enhancing performance, preventing injuries, and supporting rehabilitation in sport. In the professional field, she has worked for over 25 years as a physiotherapist and strength and conditioning coach with elite athletes, particularly women, in sports such as skiing, tennis, field hockey, water polo, and football. Since 2008, she has served as strength and conditioning coach and Coordinator of the Health and Performance Department of the elite basketball program SIGLO XXI (Spanish and Catalan Basketball Federation).

PhD in Sports Science and Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, both from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil. He is currently the Head of the Center for Cognition and Action Research and a permanent faculty member of UFMG’s graduate program, where he supervises ten master’s and doctoral students. He has authored over 150 peer-reviewed scientific articles, two books, and 20 book chapters. His main research areas include sports training, with particular emphasis on tactical and technical development in football, match analysis, and applied cognitive psychology.
