This training program focuses on the rehabilitation process, particularly indoor rehabilitation, that takes place following triceps surae injuries and prior to the field-based return-to-play phase. Within these injuries, muscular pathologies and chronic Achilles tendinopathy are given special attention, as they represent the most clinically relevant entities in terms of both severity and incidence.
The first conceptual axis provides an introduction to triceps surae injuries, covering clinical presentation and associated risk factors, followed by an overview of the most widely used rehabilitation approaches for these conditions. This serves as an introductory framework, as the platform already includes specialized courses on the treatment of triceps surae muscle injuries and Achilles tendinopathy.
The core of the course lies in conceptual axes two, three, and four, which present a methodology centered on the analysis of exercises and tasks that are key during different stages of the rehabilitation process for these injuries. Many of the proposed exercises can be applied—with specific adaptations where necessary—to the rehabilitation of both Achilles tendon injuries and triceps surae muscle injuries.
Each exercise is presented as an independent unit, while also being potentially linked to others within a comprehensive rehabilitation program. The axes and sections follow a logical and progressive structure, enabling professionals to develop and sequence rehabilitation interventions effectively.
