This training program is designed to develop the foundational knowledge that professionals specializing in post-exercise recovery should possess. The content is structured around five conceptual axes:
Conceptual Axes 1 and 2 focus on explaining key theoretical concepts, the physiological bases of fatigue and post-exercise recovery, and the fundamental training principles that guide the critical questioning process regarding recovery in all athletes.
Conceptual Axes 3 and 4 are dedicated to classifying, describing, and analyzing the different recovery strategies currently used in sports, as well as addressing the principles underpinning recovery.
The fifth conceptual axis focuses on the assessment and monitoring of teams and/or athletes to enable professionals to prescribe, plan, and program the post-exercise recovery process according to each athlete’s specific characteristics and context.
The originality of this training lies, first and foremost, in its approach to recovery content. Although recovery is a well-established reality across sporting disciplines and supported by extensive specialized literature, this knowledge often remains fragmented and under-integrated. In response, Innovity has developed a curriculum with a strong scientific foundation, while also building essential bridges to real-world sports practice.
This integration of science and professional experience enables practitioners to understand the dynamics of post-exercise recovery processes in athletes, and therefore to design practical and effective recovery programs.
