Spanish/English
Intermediate
This specialized course presents a methodology for athlete assessment grounded in different levels of kinematic specificity, providing professionals with a valuable framework for both post-injury rehabilitation processes and performance evaluation in healthy players. By offering examples of assessments at varying levels of specificity, this methodology allows practitioners to adapt their evaluations to the different phases of the rehabilitation process, while also designing sport-specific assessments for performance monitoring.
The first conceptual axis serves as an introductory framework, contextualizing the methodology presented in the course. It addresses the concept of specificity in assessment, the underlying intentions behind different approaches, and introduces the subsequent methodological axes. This foundation is essential for professionals to understand the rationale of the method, which in turn facilitates its practical application.
The second and third conceptual axes cover the assessment of the player. The second axis focuses on evaluation levels that are not kinematically related to sport-specific skills. These assessments are particularly relevant during early stages of rehabilitation, when the athlete is not yet able to perform complex movements, and they are also useful for analyzing more basic aspects of performance.
