The role of the rehabilitation specialist has experienced significant growth within sports institutions, as their function—combining expertise in both injury management and physical training—is now widely recognized. This Professional Certification provides solid tools and concepts in this field, based on the Innovity method.
The first section focuses on understanding the foundations of the rehabilitation process, offering detailed and precise methodological content essential to this area. It then advances into specific material on joint injuries in soccer players, with particular emphasis on ACL rehabilitation, and includes specialized training in neuromuscular control, one of the key pillars in the recovery process for athletes who have suffered this type of injury.
Next, the program addresses rehabilitation of lower-limb injuries that are highly prevalent in soccer, including tendinous injuries (patellar and Achilles tendons) and muscle injuries involving the quadriceps, hamstrings, and triceps surae.
Following this conceptual line, the program then focuses on injuries in the so-called “core area”, encompassing conditions affecting both the pelvic and shoulder girdles. These two modules are approached from a highly practical perspective, presenting examples of progressive task sequences adapted to tissue needs. This not only equips professionals with ready-to-use frameworks but also fosters creativity in designing new exercises and tasks of varying complexity.
The program concludes with a specialized module on field-based training methodology, aimed at providing professionals with all the necessary tools to design and plan specific drills and to complete the entire rehabilitation process up to the player’s return to competition.
This Professional Certification consists of 12 one-month courses, grouped into 4 three-month blocks. It grants— to those who meet the defined requirements— its corresponding online diploma, as well as the diplomas for the four “Expert Programs” that form part of it. The Professional Certification may be completed continuously or by blocks, according to the participant’s preference, with up to 24 consecutive months available to complete it from the time of enrollment.
