The profile of the strength and conditioning coach within a technical staff is that of a professional responsible for ensuring that players achieve optimal physical performance, as well as for designing and implementing an injury prevention plan integrated within the overall training planning and programming process.
For this professional profile, we have developed this Professional Certification following the sequence below:
Comprehensive knowledge of strength training as a foundational methodology, with specialization in a broad and transversal understanding of this domain, emphasizing more specific and relevant training methodologies within this field.
Concepts and tools focused on player assessment, ranging from analytical evaluation methods to the assessment of motor skills at varying levels of complexity. This includes the introduction of the ecological dynamics framework, allowing the professional to understand assessment processes from this theoretical perspective.
Special focus on youth training, complemented by training methodology applicable both to performance enhancement and injury prevention—addressing muscular and tendinous tissues (myofascial training) as well as joint injuries (neuromuscular control training).
Injury prevention, providing the professional with an understanding of injury risk factors, post-exertion recovery strategies, and the relevance of osteopathy as a broad-spectrum preventive approach, in order to achieve better professional outcomes.
